Charles, I visited the demo page from home and got the same address as peb did. It looks like the demo is not picking up the correct address.

@peb: Sounds like you’re on our corporate VPN? You need to try this from a computer connected to the public internet and *not* connected via a VPN.

The demo at

says my ip addr is 10.1.8.10 so it is not picking up my public ip address (nor is it finding my local ip address which is really 192.168.0.88).

Hey Coby, we are about to launch an exciting new service in March 2009 that will feature businesses. Our mobile phone app (not for iPhone by the way), was influenced by Hurricane Ike this past September in Houston. We are emphasizing time (hours of operation or closing time) because just under 50% of requests from Directory Assistance are made to request store location and open status, that’s a small and important detail that many people pay $1.25 for to know. Can you offer some thoughts on how we could obtain accurate hours of operation that we would publish on our site AND our mobile phone application that reveals the same data? Thanks.

You should consider using the IP address technology for populating the yellowpages.com home page tabs under Recent Reviews and Popular Businesses. Since I am in Chicago I am going to want to see reviews and popular businesses in my area, not so much all over the United States which is what populates now. Nice site for feedback. Thanks!
